At home in Orange Beach, Ginger is adevoted wife to her husband, Hunter, and proud mom young children—one already in the Orange Beach school system and the other starting this fall. As a parent, small business owner, and lifelong advocate for thoughtful leadership, Ginger is ready to bring energy, transparency, and common-sense decision-making to Orange Beach City Council.
As a small business owner and an attorney, I’ve always believed that when you see something wrong, you don’t wait for someone else to fix it—you get to work.
A while back, I discovered an unfair gap in the law that was putting my business—and many others like it—at risk. I knew it wasn’t just about me. It was about protecting hard-working people across our industry. So, I used the tools I had: my legal background, my voice, and determination.
I worked directly with state representatives and senators to draft and pass a law that brought fairness and protection to our industry. It wasn’t easy, but it was right. And when South Carolina heard about our success, they invited me to speak in front of their Ways and Means Committee to help pass similar legislation there.
As a mother with children in our local school system, I understand the challenges and hopes that come with raising a family here. I believe strong schools are the heart of a strong community, and I’m committed to supporting our parents, teachers, and students every step of the way.
Through our family business, we’ve proudly sponsored teacher appreciation lunches at the local elementary school, which is just a small way to say thank you to the incredible educators shaping our children’s future. Hunter and I also love getting involved personally, like dressing up as the Cat in the Hat and reading to the kindergarten class during Dr. Seuss Week.
Looking ahead, I’d like to see expanded elective opportunities for our students, increased access to trade and vocational education, and a dedicated middle school campus that better serves the needs of our growing community. I’ll continue to be a hands-on advocate for our schools—pushing for thoughtful investments, strong communication, and policies that empower both educators and families.
Our students deserve every opportunity to succeed, and I’m ready to do the work to make that happen.
I’m also the only candidate in this race with children currently enrolled in Orange Beach City Schools, so this isn’t just policy for me, it’s personal.
Our parks and recreational spaces are more than just amenities. Our parks are where memories are made, friendships grow, and our community comes together. As a parent, I’ve spent countless afternoons at our local parks, and I have attended more birthday parties at the kids' park than I can count. So, I know firsthand how much our recreational spaces mean to families like mine.
That’s why I’m committed to maintaining and improving our parks and recreational facilities. I’d love to see the kids park enhanced with shade structures to provide much-needed relief from the South Alabama heat, and I fully support adding a splash pad, which is an inclusive, affordable way for children to cool off and play during our long summer months.
I also believe it’s time we prioritize more inclusive play options for children with disabilities. Every child deserves the chance to play, explore, and feel a sense of belonging. From adaptive equipment to thoughtfully designed spaces, we can and should do better.
From trails to playgrounds to ball fields, I’ll work to ensure our public spaces are safe, welcoming, and accessible for every resident of Orange Beach, regardless of age or ability.
Our police officers, firefighters, and first responders are the backbone of public safety in Orange Beach. They show up every single day, and often in the most difficult circumstances, to protect our families, our homes, and our way of life. As a mother and resident, I’m deeply grateful for their service and unwavering commitment to our community.
I believe strong public safety starts with strong support. That means making sure our police and fire departments have the staffing, training, equipment, and facilities they need to do their jobs effectively and safely. It also means fostering open communication between city leadership and our first responders so they feel heard, respected, and empowered.
If elected, I will be a consistent and vocal advocate for the men and women who put their lives on the line for Orange Beach. I will always stand with those who serve Orange Beach.
Orange Beach is a place we’re proud to call home, but as our city grows, we must ensure that growth is thoughtful, balanced, and sustainable. As a mother raising children here, I share the concerns that many families have about increasing traffic, overcrowded schools, and the pressure that unchecked development puts on our infrastructure.
I believe long-term planning should prioritize quality of life for our residents and not just short-term gains. That means protecting what makes Orange Beach special and making sure growth doesn’t come at the expense of safety, livability, or our environment.
If elected, I am firmly committed to voting against any up-zoning proposals that would increase density in areas not built to handle it. We need to preserve the character of our neighborhoods, protect green space, and ensure our roads, schools, and services can keep up with demand before approving new development.
It’s time for responsible leadership that listens to residents and plans not just for today, but for the generations that will call Orange Beach home tomorrow.
With experience as a city attorney for Orange Beach, a local business owner, and a hands-on community advocate, I’m ready to bring steady, thoughtful leadership and help steer the future growth of our piece of paradise.
As a former city attorney and a long-time business owner, I understand the importance of making every dollar count, especially when it comes to public funds. Taxpayer dollars should be treated with the same care and accountability we expect in our own households and businesses.
My experience as a municipal attorney for the City of Orange Beach makes me exceptionally equipped to help the City Council navigate legal issues with clarity and foresight. In recent years, the city has paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal settlements. Some of these settlements may have been preventable with more proactive legal guidance and sound decision-making from the start.
If elected, I’ll bring both legal insight and common-sense budgeting to the table. I believe in asking the right questions, insisting on transparency, and ensuring that our resources are directed toward priorities that benefit our residents, and not preventable legal costs.
Orange Beach deserves leadership that is not only fiscally responsible, but legally informed.
We are running a grassroots campaign and every dollar recieved will help us bring our message to the voters of Orange Beach
